Mariem Grira

Patricia Purtschert is a philosopher, professor of gender studies and co-director of the Interdisciplinary Center for gender studies (ICFG) at the University of Bern. Her areas of interest include feminist theory, gender studies, postcolonial studies, queer studies and critical theory. Her love for feminist theory reaches far back; discovering feminist theory as a young woman taught her how to navigate the world differently.

Anukriti Dixit is an anti-caste, decolonial and feminist social sciences researcher specialising in qualitative (especially poststructuralist) research methods. Her areas of research include violence and impunity, comparative biopolitics of nationalist regimes, epistemic justice and feminist critiques of developmentalism. She is committed to intersectional and decolonial ways of thinking and living.

Nora Ryser completed a Master's degree in art education at Bern University of the Arts and in Art History at the University of Bern, in 2023. She is a freelance graphic designer and illustrator for scientific and literary texts and for cultural and political projects. As a feminist, she supports issues of equality and anti-discrimination. She teaches illustration, art and art history at the School of Design in Zurich.

Since gaining BA and D.Phil. degrees in musicology from the University of Oxford, Fiona Little has pursued a wide-ranging career as a copy-editor, including work on the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography and many other academic publications and projects in the arts and humanities. She is an Advanced Professional Member of the UK Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading.

Mariem is finishing her bachelor in cultural studies and political science at the university of Lucerne. In 2022, she joined Patricia’s team at the ICFG as a student assistant. Apart from her studies she is active in different feminist and anti-racism collectives like the “Feministisches Hochschulkollektiv” in Lucerne and 'the enough.ch' collective in Zurich.
